All four stroke outboards
First we will drain all the fluids from your motor. Crankcase oil and lower unit oil. Checking these used fluids for signs of contaminants. Such as water or metal more then normal.
We will change all of the engines filters gas and oil! Change all sparkplugs. Exam all filters for contaminants. If they are clear we move forward in replacement of the new filter.
We replace and examine all sparkplugs for correct and clean running cylinder's.
If an issue is found we will run a compression test on the engine to determine the problem and plan the correct action needed for repair.
If they show sign of debris ( Metal, water, rust...) we will need to look further in the how and where the problem my be coming from!
Most common issue we see are fuel hose liner detreating or water intrusion.
Next we replace all oil with top quality oil and proper grades.
We remove your prop to check prop shaft seal and grease the prop shaft! We also grease all grease fitting on the outboard at this time.
At this time if you boat is equipped with a boat side water separators it will be changed and checked for contaminates.
IT'S RECOMMENDED ONCE A YEAR YOU SERVICE THE WATER PUMP. This is a add cost to your service!
Once all service work has been completed we will run the outboard to check for filter leaks and that the water pump is pumping and the tale tale is passing water.
